Land Blessing
On Friday, August 26, 2022, we invited everyone to a Land Blessing at the future site of AIHFS! The future site of AIHFS will be at 4559 Wesson, Detroit, 48210.
The blessing was lead by Myrna Kicknosway (University of Windsor Elder in Residence) and Bryan Louckes. They’re both elders from Walpole Island. Our drumming and singing was provided by Southern Straight Singers.
Thank you to them and everyone else that participated. Special “thank you” to David Pitawanakwat for helping to plan and coordinate a great way to begin the next chapter for the AIHFS Community!
